Monday Bike Ride with Bike Newton

Join Bike Newton for a Monday bike ride!

These are "No Rider Left Behind" rides; Anyone may ride as long as their bikes are in good working order, and they are confident they can handle a leisurely 7- to 10-mile ride. 

Children must be with an adult, all riders must wear helmets, and everyone must adhere to safety rules of the road. We will go to scenic points in and around Newton. read more »

For moms, dads, grandparents, nannies, and toddlers ages three and under. Great space and tiny tot toys.

Newton Parks & Recreation is sponsoring an indoor farmers' market.  More than 20 vendors are on hand weekly, offering a variety of goods from fresh produce to soups, meats, bread and desserts, artisanal cheese, maple syrup, fresh pasta, jams & jellies, and local wine!

Greening Our Community

Learn how Newton’s youth are creating awareness and actively addressing environmental issues.

Projects by students from Franklin Elementary School, Newton North and South High Schools, Green Decade/Newton’s Students for a Greener World and Solomon Schechter Day School’s after school program will be featured.

The event is part of the Greening Our Community Series and is cosponsored by Green Decade/Newton (GD/N). The 2013 Annual Environmental Leadership Awards will also be presented.
