When asked "Why do you rob banks", Willie Sutton famously replied "Because that's where the money is." Banks and financial institutions have always been a major target, and this didn't when they decided to offer their services online. Phishing, Trojan horses, social engineering and other technologies have been used by cybercriminals for over a decade. In this session we will take a look at how these threats operate and how cybercrime turned into a $500B industry. The program will include live demos of hacking techniques and a tour of the dark web where this tools and services are bought and sold. Etay Mayor, Executive Security Advisor, IMB Security, will facilitate. This program is cosponsored by the City of Newton Department of Senior Services.
