Free Computer Classes for Seniors

Need some help with computing? Interested in refreshing your skills or learning something new? We've arranged for free classes TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS at Newton North High School.

In answer to many member requests, Newton at Home, in conjunction with Newton North High School, will be offering again a series of computer sessions tailored to what YOU want to learn. You choose the topics that you would like to cover, for example, Email, Internet searching, SKYPE, WORD, iPAD use, or Facebook.

Each NAH member will be assigned a student tutor; classes are supervised by the Director of the NNHS Innovations Lab.

You may work on MACs or PCs owned by Newton North and you can bring your own laptops and/or iPads.

Dates for our spring classes are March 28, April 4 and at least one more date to be announced. Registrants do not have to attend all of the classes.

The classes will be held in the Innovation Lab in the Newton North High School Main Library Conference Room. There will be coffee and conversation starting at 2:00pm and the class will be held from 2:40 to 3:20pm.

Parking will be available on Tiger Drive which is at the Main Entrance to the school. The library is on the 2nd floor and is fully accessible by elevator or steps.

There will be room for five members per class. There will be no charge for any of the classes.

To become a member of Newton and Home and to register for classes, please call the NAH office at 617-795-2560.
