Is Rental Property Ownership Right for You?
April 23 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm$46.00
In this new spring course offering, “Buying and Managing Rental Properties,” students will learn if investing in real estate by becoming a landlord is right for them. The Newton Community Education class will take place Monday, April 23, from 6-9 p.m. at Newton North High School.
Award-winning real estate pro, landlord and veteran educator Marie Presti will teach students what to look for in a property, how to compare and analyze them; and whether or not to hire a property manager. The class will review a landlord’s rights and responsibilities, and cover the differences between renting out part of your owner-occupied property, as well as leasing out a property you don’t live in, whether it’s a single-family, multi-family or condo. Presti, who rents out a two-family home in Newton Corner, will also share her own experiences with property management.
Presti is Greater Boston Realtor of the Year and has taught more than 100 courses through NCE. She is also president of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors (GBAR) and principle owner/broker of The Presti Group, in Newtonville.
The cost for attending is $46.00 per person; $64.00 per couple. To register, visit Newton Community Education or call 617-559-6999.
