Newton North Kids Are Saving Our History

While the railroad tracks were being pulled up to make way for the Upper Falls Greenway, a crew of neighbors went down one Saturday morning and loaded 5 decrepit, rusted, railroad switches on to a trailer.   Students at the Newton North Auto Shop have refurbished, restored, and repainted them and they look beautiful.  The first one was replanted this week beside The Depot Coffee Shop on Oak St.  The students delivered the 2nd one today which will be installed later, and at least one more is on the way.
