Join Omri Lior, an Israeli documentary filmmaker, for a screening and discussion of his documentary titled I’m a Civil War. Learn about Haim Gouri’s life - a poet, soldier, journalist, film producer and winner of the Israel Prize who was born in Tel Aviv in 1923. The film summarizes Gouri’s 84 years, describing historical stepping stones of Israeli poetry, especially his own, in parallel with the process of the creation of the new Israeli State. The film is part of Lior’s Words With a View project which consists of a series of documentary films about some of the best authors and poets in Israel. The project conserves the pillars of Jewish and Israeli culture and creates an invaluable asset for future generations. A Q and A will follow the screening.
