Make It: Paper Airplanes

Tuesday, June 13, 2017
7:00 pm-9:00 pm
Newton Free Library, 330 Homer St., Newton Centre

Nothing makes you feel like a kid again like making paper airplanes. From basic flyers to advanced darts, these origami wonders will have your imagination soaring. This hour-long program will start with the basic paper airplane fold Dart, a six-step airplane that’s simple, but sophisticated. While folding, you'll learn about the mechanics of flight, including a basic introduction to aerodynamics. After the completion of one (or two) Dart paper airplanes, Makers will then be given time to explore other airplane patterns from the instruction book “How to Make Paper Airplanes.” In the last 10 minutes of the program, Makers (who wish to participate) will begin testing their planes inside the library. Open to all ages. No registration required.
