Once again we gather “after dinner” for an intimate feast of music.  Our small group of singers and players will transport you to a Venetian palazzo, in a relaxed atmosphere of friendly competition during an imagined meeting of two great musical minds. Cappella: Eve and Adam – a new take on a very old story

Rising MIT composer Elena Ruehr’s “Eve,” composed in 2014, takes its familiar text from Genesis, but rather than the traditional retelling, poses an honest question: was gaining knowledge of good and evil such a terrible thing? “In a sense,” the composer writes, “ is choosing light over darkness, sight over blindness.
