To improve recycling quality, Newton’s Sustainable Materials Management Department is launching a community-wide education campaign and curbside recycling inspections beginning on Friday, June 12.
Residents will receive notices if unacceptable items are found, and carts with repeated contamination will be rejected.
When in doubt, check the Recycle Right Newton app. If you’re still unsure, put it in the trash.
