Washington Street Update

November 18 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

We all want a Washington Street that is safe and accessible, functions well, and is attractive for the neighborhoods it connects. And we know that getting this right requires listening to the residents who live in this area, our city employees who must traverse and maintain our roadways as part of their jobs, the drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians who frequent this busy corridor, and the businesspeople and restauranteurs who work there.

We’ve already heard from many of you, and we’re taking that feedback seriously as we begin to consider what changes to the pilot may be needed.

Opportunities to Engage

Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m. at the Cooper Center, in person or on Zoom, for a community meeting where we’ll introduce some conceptional designs of potential changes to the Washington Street Pilot. We will record this meeting and make it available on the Washington Street Pilot Project page following the meeting.

In addition to the community meeting on October 28th, we’re holding three drop-in office hour Washington Street Pilot Listening Sessions this fall:

Session 1:

  • When: Friday, November 6 — 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
  • Where: City Hall, Room 204

Session 2:

  • When: Thursday, November 12 — 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
  • Where: Zoom

Session 3:
