ABOUT MARGO

I was born 30 years too early. When I was in college and starting my career, technology and art were two separate worlds. There wasn’t a ‘job’ that really encompassed both. So, I had to choose.

I chose Computer Science, and spent 40 years as a User Interface Designer. Then, finally in my 60’s I got a chance to pursue art full time.

A fellow artist introduced me to Gelli plate printing. If you don’t know what a Gelli plate is, that’s ok – I didn’t know until a few years ago. It’s basically a slab of gelatin (about 1/2″ thick) and comes in various sizes. It allows you to do rich prints very quickly without a press. Here’s a quick demo to give you a sense of it.
