With Thanksgiving just one week away, now is a good time to think about how grateful and fortunate most of us are. Welcome Home has become a source of hope for families struggling financially.
This year Welcome Home has served more than 12,000 people.
We have grown through our many partnerships which allows us to serve more veterans, more immigrants and more neighbors using local food pantries.
We also serve clients in our space where we continue to meet their needs with kindness and dignity. We help families with basic household necessities
such as sheets and towels, pots and pans, as well as decorative items that transform housing into a home. Unlike many other organizations,
we honor every request made without requiring fees or forms.
With your generosity, our clients will continue to “shop” at Welcome Home for their most essential home goods.
The gap between those of us who have what we need, and those who do not, is widening. As the cost of housing, childcare and gasoline continues to rise, many of our clients face daily hardship. They are often forced to choose between paying their monthly bills, getting medical care, or feeding their children. We ask that you consider making a gift to Welcome Home so that we can continue our work.
As you sit at your Thanksgiving table, surrounded by family and friends, know that together we have helped thousands of families in Greater Boston feel like they are home for the first time in a long time.
