Women of Courage and Conviction

Join the author of Women of Courage and Conviction, Newton writer Dorothy Anger, along with three of the book’s Newton women, Maria Brisk, Hanni Meyers, and Sallie Craig Huber, as they share stories of their extraordinary lives.

These women’s experiences span continents and eras: One walked from Newton to Washington DC in a “Walk for Peace”; another grew up in Argentina during the Perón regime; two survived their childhoods as Jews under the Nazi regime; and the fifth became a global leader in women’s reproductive health and health systems management. Come hear about the journeys of these courageous women, their resilience and achievements, and honor the power of storytelling to connect us across generations.
