Fabric of Community Blanket and Towel Drive

Welcome Home is hosting the Fabric of Community Blanket & Towel Drive on Saturday, October 3, 2026, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. at The Street Chestnut Hill, 33 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, sponsored by Mark’s Moving & Storage.

As cooler weather sets in, the community is invited to donate new or gently used blankets and towels—top-requested items for families transitioning into new housing. Donations can be dropped off at the Mark’s Moving & Storage truck on the pondside of 27 Boylston Street, behind Mejuri. Mark’s Moving & Storage, the event’s sponsor, is providing the truck, driver, staff, and storage for surplus items; all donations benefit Welcome Home.

Donors are entered into a raffle for prizes from The Street’s businesses, including Showcase SuperLux, Shake Shack, Hummingbird Books, and ALO.

Mindy Frankel Peckler of Welcome Home called it “a meaningful opportunity to provide families with comfort and dignity,” adding that donations help transform a house into a warm, welcoming home. Mark Silverman of Mark’s Moving said the company is glad to provide transportation for an event with major regional impact, and Emmy Parsons of The Street Chestnut Hill praised the community partnership in supporting families as colder months approach.
